Damn, this update is such a huge improvement compared to the first demo you released.

The main character is not an annoying brat anymore.

The relationship between Feenyx and Bowers isn't rushed like last time. 

Spelling and grammar also improved alot. I didn't notice any mistakes this time. Correct grammar makes it so much easier to focus on the content. Probably because I am not a native speaker myself.

The art was already really good in the first version, but I think the characters had a lot more expressions this round. I really liked that.

Even the menu and the loading screen looked a lot more professional.

I was really disappointed with the first demo, since the art looked so nice, but I am glad i gave this project another chance. Went from a 'meh' project to one of my favorites.

Take your time with your hiatus. Your personal life should always come first. I will eagerly await your next update. I generally wait a few updates before deciding to support a vn, but I am already thinking of joining your patreon.

I have to agree that after so much world building, it would be sad to finish after one day. There is still so much to explore about the Shelter. How are they going to deal with their problem, that their time is limited by the amount of munition for Skies Ablaze?

I also love the concept of different species having a different kind of mana and combinations having greater effects like the explosion. And being able to integrate them into objects, there just seem to be infinite possibilities.

And maybe one day Luke can automate most of Shelters tasks and could join an expedition. That would be interesting. After one or two years of combat training, his ability to use different kind of manas (we already had him fly around the Shelter) and his ability to understand the relics, i think he would be a great asset to an exploration team.

And what about the other races? Maybe in the future other races also want to use the powerful machinery of the Shelter or individuals need a new place to call home.

And what about other Humans? Is Luke going to be last of his kind? What happened to the Human race? 

Last but not least, i would like Cooper and Luke to get closer.  It's funny to see a strong and dependable leader getting so anxious around Luke.

I really hope that Shelter is going to continue or that there is a second Game with Luke and his dogs.

Hm..., not an easy question. I think Shelter is pretty unique when it comes to furry visual novels. 

The only game i can think of which has a human protagonist, some magic and really good writing is Minotaur Hotel. 

Another game i would recommend is Temptation's Ballad. It also has nice writing, a humor that fits mine, creative use of magic and a lot more. 

If you are looking for furry visual novels in general, there are a lot out there. I quick search in itchio or google will give you many hits.

After deciding to automate the turrets, Luke goes back to the tavern to tell everyone about it. There you can invite him. 

Or you ignore him first and after telling everyone about the good news you will get another chance to have a talk with Alon. Not 100% sure here, but i think you have to win a bet of getting 10 coin tosses right to make him come to the bath.

But if you want to know if there is a way for Alon to join you and the others in the hot water, i think there is no possible way to do it. But i still think it is nice, that he at least comes along to the bath.

I played the new Update already twice just because it is just so amazing.

The heart-opening dialog between Luke and Burry is written so well. You can really feel how Luke is suffering under the pressure of maintaining the Shelter as well as the fear of not being part of the pack. And also the way Burry sees and loves Luke and the despair of not being able to keep up with Luke and distancing himself. And finally the regret of giving up to be there for him. 

I am writing this comment as i am listening to the new music with our three dogs showing the backs to Luke. It fits perfectly to the situation. It makes me feel that there is a life-threatening  emergency, but there is also hope. Like finding a light in the darkness. Having the three dogs there, with the Shelter emblem on there backs and this music, it gives me goosebumps.

The only thing that kinda bothers me is Burrys stance/posture in the dialog with Luke.  Having his arms crossed seems to be his natural stance, but in such an open talk it just feels wrong. I know that creating sprites is a lot of work. Especially in this update we had a lot of new expressions, CGIs an more. I just think it would be a good idea to create a new sprite for this situation. 

Overall this Update still gets a 10 out of 10 from me. This chapter convinced me to join the Patreons the following month because i feel it is worth supporting this project.

i also thought that the player would get to choose between Ranok and Vul at the beginning of the game. But i soon gave up on that idea since the game focused on the relationship between the MC and Ranok.
Maybe once the Ranok Path is done, the developer will create a Vul Path, but that is just me dreaming.

All in all i really liked that Update

But one thing kind of didn't feel right. The fact that he has to work seemed to annoy the MC more than i think it should. Like what did he expect? To live a comfortable live, getting fed by talking wolves until he is brought back home? What i think he should be more interested in is the amount of work he has to do to pay of the dept of saving his life. But to me it felt like he was annoyed about the fact that he actually had to work. I think he should see this as an opportunity to get distracted from this ominous voice. Especially since he already tried distracting himself by cleaning the house.

it happened to me only when a new phase started but i thought this was intentional since old save files didn't work anymore. Otherwise i had no issues with safe files.

Are you going to continue with the game or are you more focused on your other game "Lost Memories"? The last update is already quite some time ago and I really enjoyed the game.
